DANCING FIGURE 09/34 (2009)
33cm x 24cm
price (unframed) £ 48.00 GBP (see below)
This is one of a handful of paintings I did the week before last - whilst working on my canvases for www.galleryguesthouse.com
The figure is an amalgam of a Germano-Celtic mask (including the pointy head) from around 400 BC and a South Sea island figure painting. I added a shirt and tie and gave it a carnival feel.
PRICE £ 48.00 GBP (unframed - free p&p within UK).

ReplyDeleteI don't like
ReplyDeleteThanks all Nivi, Lazyking and Deric (sorry you don't like it Deric ) :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is so delightful, Steve! I feel I look like this when I'm dancing all by myself, bare-footed in my living room. Tis' a sight!!! haha But my spirit is the same carefree one as your painted and the same lil pointed head. :-)
ReplyDeleteI added your blog to my post today as a fun little game of tag with other creative bloggers I admire. It is up to you if you have time or not to play along--no pressure. I just happen to be a huge fan of yours and want as many people as possible to see your work.
Thank you for keeping me smiling. By the way... I also loved the 3 new pieces from the views for your door. WOW!! I wish you the greatest of success in your show.
Lille Diane - thanks so much for your lovely comments - I'll pop over and see what I can do
