all 3 acrylic on canvas
20cm x 50cm

These are the three canvases delivered in May to the Gallery Guesthouse here in Plymouth. They are now in situ at The Lopes Arms in Roborough. See post dated 20/10/09.

The pictures are based on the skyline visible about a 15 minute walk from my front door - with views across the south-western edge of Dartmoor. If you have a favourite view / views I will always consider a commission for you in similar style.

  1. Hi Steve, love these pictures. Very dreamlike. I particularly like the first one, it's beautiful. Thanks for your concern about my lack of posts. Have just been so busy, didn't realize how long it had been since I last updated it! Still I have lots to write now in my next post :)

  3. These are an interesting set of paintings, quite different in style from the others you have posted. Sorry to hear that your thumb was so painful after making them. I am sure you have explored these techniques already but in case you haven't I hope you don't mind me mentioning them. For diffusing paint with a toothbrush I usually use an old kitchen knife it is so much kinder on the hands. Alternatively, if using ink or very thin consistency paint, a paint diffuser is very useful and gives a very similar effect. Enjoying seeing your new work.

  4. I particularly liked the first picture - it reminds me of that night we cycled away from Dartmoor prison (I haven't looked back since; haven't cycled either, come to think of it). So what I really want to know is, where do you buy the acrylic toothpaste?

  5. Steve,

great art products. You should have no problem selling similar ones. I have an
    award or two for you.

Come and take them when you have time.
