This painting started as a watercolour sketch, the image took on a life of its own, and soon turned into a full-scale painting. It's taken me a while to get painting this year - but have lots of new ideas and images to work on.

If anyone is wondering about the title ...

"I talk to God, but the sky is empty"  Sylvia Plath

These two paintings are based on ancient gods of fire and lightning from Slavic and Baltic mythology.

They come individually or as a pair. These paintings are also part of my recycled art series - using the board and frame (gold in this case) from a mass-produced print for original art-work. The frame can be sprayed black, white ... or any other colour (come to that) if you'd like.

"no canvases were harmed during the making of these paintings"

If you would like to discuss buying these - any other work on the site - or would like to discuss a commission please email me in the first instance - absolutley no obligation.
