These 3 pictures will have to be my last posting on this blog for a few days as the laptop is going on holiday with my wife and daughter. I will have to resort to public access internet for a few days. I like these - as they are done with the cheapest materials - ie children's coloured pencils from a bargain pack from a local supermarket ( and a cheap fibre tip pen for two of them). It always makes me wince when I see the price of some artists' materials - but I suspect it all adds to the mystique of being an artist. Despite the cost -the vividness of the colour is cracking (in my opinion).
I am quite pleased of the second image - FIGURE 09/25 - as it is the first truly miniature image I have ever really put on this site. I would like to hear your views and opinions.

ReplyDeletePaula and Rumiko - I've actually turned 09/25 into a larger acrylic on heavy cartridge paper over the weekend - which I am personally quite proud of - it has a slightly different look - but the connection is clear - that'll be up on the site soon

ReplyDeletei have only recently "discovered" the abstract art world-- due to my daughters new found interest in painting.. drawing, etc.
